TMS is an FDA approved treatment for Major Depressive Disorder and treatment resistant depression. TMS is a non invasive outpatient treatment that stimulates certain parts of the brain. During the 20-30 minute sessions the patient is awake and can watch TV or listen to music. The treatment consists of five weekly sessions for four to five weeks.
